Oh my god you guys...

Threads Fans has won an award! Eep! Thanks to this blog (http://themusingwriter.blogspot.co.uk/) I have won the Liebster Blog Award! Wow, thank you! If you don't know what the Liebster award is then it's an award for bloggers who have less than 200 followers and who have put a lot of hard work in. It is an award that was started in Germany and apparently Liebster means dearest or favourite.
I am really happy to be one of the people to win this, I never thought this blog would be winning an award and I'm so glad it did.
The rules that go along with this award are:
1.) Each person must post 10 facts about themselves.
2.) Answer 10 questions the tagger has given you and give 10 questions for the people you tagged.
3.) Choose 10 people and link them in your post.
4.) Tell them you’ve tagged them.
5.) Remember, no tags back.
So first, 10 facts about me:
1.) My favourite colour is purple.
2.) My favourite kind of chocolate is white chocolate and I don't like dark chocolate.
3.) As well as reading, writing, drawing and singing are other things I love to do.
4.) I have two guinea pigs named Indigo and Munchkin.
5.) My family also keeps several chickens.
5.) Countries I've traveled to are France, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man.
6.) I love music, listening to it and singing make me feel so much better when I'm down, or they atleast help me get some of my feelings out.
7.) I like to write song lyrics but I'm not sure if they're very good or not so I've only ever shown my best friend one song.
8.) I go horse riding once a fortnight.
9.) My birthday is 19th October and I was born in the year 1995.
10.) I like travelling but I don't plan to actually move away to far from where I live now because I become very attached to things.

Now here are the 10 questions I was asked and my answers to them:
1.) If you had to be an animal, which animal would it be and why?
I would be a horse because I would love to be able to gallop as fast as they can.
2.) If you could have one super power, what would it be?
I would to be able to control something, like an element, like air.
3.) What is your pet peeve?
When people are really stubborn.
4.) If you had the opportunity to know when you were going to die, would you want to know?
No, I wouldn't. It would really freak me out.
5.) If the vampire Lestat offered you immortality as a vampire, would you do it?
No, I wouldn't like to live forever. And I wouldn't want to be a vampire.
6.) If your house was haunted by friendly spirits, would you move?
Well, probably not if they were friendly. We only moved house a few years ago and I'm not going through that again for a while if I can help it. It was a lot of bother.
7.) If you found a Ouiji board under a wooden floorboard in a 300-year-old house, would you play with it?
No... those things are supposed to be freaky and dangerous.
8.) If you found a time machine that worked, which time would you go back into?
I really have no idea... hmm.. Probably to when Taylor Swift was the same age as me so we could hang out and be best friends and stuff. Okay, so I'm a bit of a major fan.
9.) If you could change anything in this world, what would it be?
I'd probably change the fact that there are so many horrible diseases, I'd get rid of them.
10.) If an alien mothership came to earth, along with smaller ships, and positioned themselves around the world in each state and country, what would you do?
Freak out a bit, I don't know how good I'd be in that kind of crisis. Umm... Hope the Doctor would come along and save us all?

Here are 10 blogs I choose for this award:
1.) Building A Library
2.) Dark Heart 2011
3.) Life in the pages
4.) Platform Shoes

Sorry, I don't know anymore blogs with less than 200 followers so I guess it's just these 4 blogs!

Here are 10 questions for the people above:
1.) What is your favourite type of music and who is your favourite artist in that genre?
2.) Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?
3.) What place would you like to visit if you could go anywhere?

Fallen by Lauren Kate is the story of Luce, Lucinda Price, who is trying to hide from her past. But because of the shadows she can’t. And then she meets Daniel, someone whose behaviour she can’t understand but also someone who she can’t stay away from, and she finds out as well as the past that she’s trying to forget there’s also a past that some people are trying to stop her from finding out about.
Because the truth could kill Luce.

This book stunned me, it’s not what I expected at all. I really, really like it. It’s not the usual type of book that I read but it still managed to keep me interested. The characters were really different and unique and they felt very real.
The book had a real emotional effect on me. When Luce’s parents hugged her when she was in hospital I felt like I was about to cry and I wanted her to hug them back just as much as she did. And when Penn died, I did cry. I was really upset because I’d really come to like Penn and I felt she’d become a close friend – I felt just how Luce felt.
The cliff hanger left me wanting to find out what happened next, not fed up that I hadn’t been told everything.
The only part of the book that I really didn’t like was when Penn died, and that was because I wasn’t supposed to like it. Penn was a character that I’d really liked so I was supposed to be unhappy at that part. So points to the author for making me feel exactly how she wanted me to.
I really like the cover. It’s dark and striking and the character stands out well against the white light. It’s very dramatic and the silver writing is in a good choice of font.
So five out of five for this book – I really enjoyed it.

Review: Wedding Season by Katie Fforde

Wedding Season by Katie Fforde
Name: Wedding Season
Author: Katie Fforde

Publisher: Arrow Books
Date published: 2009
Number of pages: 450
Rating: 5/5

Wedding Season by Katie Fforde is about three women Sarah, a cynical wedding planner who keeps denying her true feelings because of a previous heartbreak, Elsa, a dress designer who is quite shy and prefers to keep out of the limelight, and Bron, a multi-talented hairdresser who has a boyfriend but would prefer not to.
When the three of them team up for the biggest wedding event of the year, and become closer every day, will they come closer to their very own fairy tale weddings?
This book is one of my favourites for several reasons. All three of the girls’ stories are intertwined really well – I didn’t get confused as to what was going on and all three stories are equally told so you don’t read more of one story than another.
I also like this story because it’s unique, I’ve never really read a book with the same plot before. And the ending was great, the epilogue tied everything together so that there weren’t any loose ends and I knew what happened to all of the characters.
What I also liked was that Katie Fforde was good at conveying the feelings of characters – so you knew exactly how they felt even if they didn’t say it.
The cover is really pretty, it has a romantic style which goes with the theme of the book. It also looks very flowing and free.
