A Perfect Proposal by Katie Fforde

Here is the cover of the book I wrote about in my previous post "New York".

It's a great book and I definetly recommend reading it. Another book I like bye Katie Fforde is Life skills so check that out to. It's definetly for adults or older teenagers, so if your a younger teenager I wouldn't because you might not like it. I'll post another book later for younger teenage readers.
Untill next time.

New York

In Sequins, Stars and Spotlights Jenny goes to work in New York on a musical, and Edie and Nonie visit her. On threadsthebook.com you can see pictures Sophia Bennett took when she went on a research trip to New York.
So I searched the web to find you guys some beautiful and interesting pictures of New York. And here they are:

New York City Hall Park Fountain, New York

Ofcourse there are many more interesting and exciting places in New York. I could never put all the pictures on here. And if you are interested in reading another book with New York in it I'm reading a book at the minute called A Perfect Proposal by Katie Fforde which is very good. It's about a girl who gets tired of her family so sets of to New York, where her friend lives, to get a job.

Finished

Yesterday morning I finnished Sequins, Stars and Spotlights. It was brilliant, I loved the ending, it was perfect. Ofcourse I'd love for there to be a fourth book but if that was the last one then it's the perfect ending to a trilogy. If you haven't had the chance to read it then you really should. Check it out of your local library or buy it so you can read it again and again!

Here's what it says about the book on Sophia's website:
This is the third book in the Threads series.
Four girls have four dreams. Crow is on the way to becoming an international fashion designer. Jenny’s been discovered by a Broadway composer. Edie still wants to go to Harvard. Nonie … isn’t really sure, but knows it’s something fashion-related and wonderful. They’re growing up and on the brink of glittering careers. So why are their lives so complicated? Why does success demand sacrifices, and which ones are they willing to make?
In this, the final book of the Threads trilogy, Nonie discovers that life is just beginning. The girls have choices to make. Who will wait for fame? Who will emerge an outright star? Who will fall in love? And who will turn her back on all her dreams? This time the answers are in New York. It’s a long way for Nonie to travel, especially with only one teeny-weeny wheelie bag. But for the sake of her friendships, Nonie will do whatever it takes.

So what are you waiting for? Get it!
Untill next time.

Page 87

I'm on Page 87 of Sequins, Stars and Spotlights and I'm finding it amazing! It is really hard to put it down. I love it. I've borrowed all the books from the library but recently I saw the whole series in a catalog called the Book People for only £4.99! What a bargain. So I'm going to ask my mum to get that for me. I'm sure it'll be a great buy.
Here's where you can get it on the web: http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=222621&searchTerm=threads+series

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog! In this blog I will write about the series Threads. At the minute I'm reading Sequins, Stars and Spotlights by Sophia Bennett. It's the third book in the Threads series. The other two books are called Threads and Beads, Boys and Bangles. They are very good.
I'll also write about any other books Sophia Bennet is writing or has written that you'll like if you like Threads. On the Threads website (threadsthebook.com) Sophia Bennet says "My head is now deep in rewrites for The Look -  a new book about a girl who gets the chance to be a model." I look forward to reading it! She also says "Meanwhile, I've just launched a new competition - to design a bride's or bridesmaid's outfit, inspired by a certain royal occasion ..." Which you can enter here: http://noniesworld.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/weddings-fashion-competition/
Sophia Bennet also has her own website seperate from the Threads website: sophiabennet.com
Hope you enjoy reading the blog.
Untill next time.
