An Important Announcement

I have something important to tell you all. Threads Fans is moving and changing. I am moving this blog to I Tend To Ramble, a new blog I have created. As I explain on the new blog, I felt like I needed a change because basing this blog around one book series and one author meant I felt restricted slightly so I have created a new blog to branch out slightly.
It will mostly be the same blog, except with a different name and more room to ramble. Hopefully I will have eventually moved all the reviews and important posts from this blog to the new one.
I have had so much fun with Threads Fans and I want to thank you all for reading my posts, I hope you'll all move with me to the new blog and that this new era will be as good as the last.
As Taylor Swift says in her song Long Live,

"It was the end of an era but but the start of an age."

I hope to see you all at I Tend To Ramble,
Rebecca

On Hiatus/Closed For Maintenance

I would like to apologise for the lack of any posts from me recently. I've been very busy with exams, revision and other things like that.
I have decided, due to the fact that I don't have a lot of time to write posts at the minute and that I want to edit the blog quite a lot, that I am going to go on a temporary hiatus from posting on this blog and that it will be closed for maintenance.
I apologise for any inconvenience this causes and I asure you I will be back in the summer, properly.
Have a nice day,
Rebecca Xx

Review: Adorkable by Sarra Manning

Adorkable by Sarra Manning

Name: Adorkable
Author: Sarra Manning
Author's website: http://www.sarramanning.co.uk/index.php
Publisher: Atom
Date published: 2012
Number of pages: 387
Rating: 5/5
When is it available?: Now

Adorkable is the story of two sixth formers, Jeane Smith (blogger, dreamer, jumble sale queen, CEO of her own lifestyle brand, twitter famous, dork) and Michael Lee (friends with everyone, golden boy, likes Jack Wills, ode to his cheekbones on the wall of the second-floor girls' loos at school), who have nothing in common apart from a pair of cheating exes ut despite this they can't stop snogging. How long will they be able to pretend it doesn't mean anything?

Adorkable is a book that has definitely been added to my all-time favourites list. I got it from the library but now I definitely want to go out and buy my own copy. I really, really loved it. This book was perfection.
Both perspectives were well balanced with the right amount of seriousness and lightheartedness (that's a mouthfull, is it even a word?). The two different perspectives were really well written - one minute I could be reading from Jeane's perspective and be frustrated at Michael and the next I could be reading from Michaels perspective and be frustrated at Jeane (they were frustrated at each other a lot, but it was in a cute, I-may-not-know-it-but-deep-down-I-actually-love-you way).
This book was really funny, I couldn't help but laugh out loud at some parts (for example when Michael thinks "Oh God! This is going to seriously screw up my Cambridge interview" after he accidentally tips Jeane over her bike handlebars and thinks her may have killed her).
This book was basically a masterpiece, it had everything you could want in a YA book like this. It had easy-to-connect-and-relate-to characters, it had a swoon-worthy guy and it had an awesome ending. Basically: read it!

My Thoughts on the Cover
I love the cover, it's so cute. I like the repetition of Adorkable" in the background and the colours used, they tie in well together.

Why I Love Sophia Bennett

I haven't posted in a little while, so I thought I might as well make a post as to why I love Sophia Bennett so much, so really why I decided to make Threads Fans.
The first reason is because she writes such wonderful stories. The Threads series, The Look and soon You Don't Know Me, and if you haven't read any of these then I strongly recommend that you do. Not only are they wonderful, but they are also funny, serious, interesting and perfect.
Reason Number Two is that she's kind and thoughtful. One of the main themes of the Threads books is charity and then of course The Look is a story about a girl whose sister has cancer and how that affects her and those around her.
Sophia Bennett is also really nice to the readers and fans of her books, puts a lot of effort into her work and websites and is a total sucker for a beautiful wedding dress, just like me.
If you're reading this Sophia, think of it as a very late Valentine's Day present...
